A new industry will be added to the national project "Labor productivity and employment support"

The national project "Labor productivity and employment support" is aimed at supporting companies that need to build up the necessary competencies for the development of a production culture. For such support, the Federal Center of Competence in the field of labor productivity and the Regional Center of Competence of the Orenburg Region have been created, which help enterprises to introduce lean manufacturing tools, optimize the sample flow, and build up the competencies of employees. Businesses get this help absolutely freethey just need to commit to working to improve their own performance.

Now in the Orenburg region about 60 applications have been submitted for participation in the national project. These are enterprises from industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, construction, transport and housing and communal services.

In the updated national project, the composition of the industries will change: trade will be added, and from 2021 enterprises from the housing and utilities sector will not be included.

“We plan not only to provide lean manufacturing services, but also to work more closely with CEOs, CFOs, HR directors to help them with the company's development strategy, logistics, information technology, and sales. After all, now many companies, unfortunately, do not deal with these issues, - commented Nikolai Solomon, General Director of the Federal Center for Competence in the Sphere of Labor Productivity.

At the same time, the enterprises are training specialists who will be able to continue working after the completion of the project. In total, 180 employees of enterprises - participants in the national project - underwent training.

- Starting next year, it is planned to increase the terms of support for individual enterprises from six to 12 months. They will be selected on a competitive basis. Productivity growth targets for them will remain the same - 10, 15 and 30% annually. For those enterprises that will participate in the project in the previous six-month format, this figure will be at the level of 5% per year, Solomon said.

The extension of the support period will allow experts to implement at enterprises not one sample stream, as it is now, but two at once. They will be able to dive deeper into production processes, take into account the specifics of the company, which will give a more accurate idea of the factors affecting the cost of products. Experts will also be able to develop more effective measures to reduce it.

Recall: the national project "Labor Productivity and Employment Support" was created to increase the competitiveness of Russian goods and services, creating a culture of high productivity and efficiency among employees of organizations in every region of Russia. Its main goal is to ensure by the end of 2024 conditions for increasing labor productivity at medium and large enterprises of the basic non-resource sectors of the region's economy at least 5% per year.
