A unified navigation and information space will be created in the Orenburg region

As part of the implementation of the signed Cooperation Agreement between JSC "GLONASS" and the Government of the Orenburg Region, on February 5, a meeting of the interdepartmental working group was held to create a unified navigation and information space. The goal of the project is to create a central collection point for all telematic, navigation, transport and logistics, statistical information, as well as information on the current and forecast status of road safety indicators.

The interdepartmental working group was attended by the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Orenburg Region, representatives of the regional executive authorities, GLONASS JSC, the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in the Orenburg Region, and the Orenburg administration.

The participants identified the priority measures for the implementation of the pilot project of the regional navigation and information system for road safety in the Orenburg region.

- On the territory of the Orenburg region, innovative state sectoral and commercial navigation systems will be introduced, as well as intelligent transport systems built on a single technological base of the state automated information system ERA-GLONASS, - noted Denis Tolpeikin, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Orenburg Region.

Director of regional programs of JSC "GLONASS" Dmitry Rubtsov and General Director Maxim Neuchekhin presented the stages of implementation of a pilot project in the Orenburg region.

- Within the framework of the pilot project, JSC "GLONASS" and the territorial representative of LLC "RNITs GLONASS" will ensure the creation and operation of a regional navigation and information system free of charge. LLC "GLONASS-BDD" implements a road safety module as an element of an intelligent transport system, - said Maxim Neuchekhin.
Based on the results of the meeting of the interdepartmental working group, the subsystems of the regional navigation and information system of the Orenburg region were determined, which will be operated during the pilot, the plan for the implementation of the pilot project was approved.
