Implementation of projects of the Wildberries company in the Orenburg region

On July 22, a working meeting of the Governor of the Orenburg Region Denis Pasler, the General Director of the Orenburg Region Development Corporation Ignat Petukhov with the General Director of Wildberries Tatiana Bakalchuk took place at the Wildberries office.

During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of implementing projects of the Wildberries company in the Orenburg region. At the moment, the company is actively developing a network of presence in the Russian and international markets: at the stage of implementation 5 projects in the Russian Federation, 2 projects in Kazakhstan. In January 2020, Wildberries entered the European market by opening branches in Poland. There are plans to build a logistics hub in Slovakia.

- Wildberries is one of the largest investors in the logistics area in Russia, therefore the Orenburg region is interested in cooperation and long-term interaction. The region can become a strategic region in the geography of Wildberries business development in the Central Asian markets. The Development Corporation is already actively interacting with this investor and creates all the conditions for the successful implementation of Wildberries' projects in the region, said the Governor of the Orenburg Region Denis Pasler.

Wildberries is one of the leaders in the e-commerce market in the Russian Federation: its market share as of 2019 was 31%. The assortment of the Wildberries Internet site includes over 4 million commodity items from 40 thousand Russian and foreign brands, about 50% goods are produced in Russia. 780 thousand orders are made daily on the Wildberries Internet site. The company has 6779 order pick-up points, 10 distribution centers and successfully operates in the markets of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Poland, Slovakia: the total revenue for the last year reached 117 billion rubles. Wildberries also expects to expand its sales geography and enter 10 international markets in 2020.
