A kind of online educational program on reducing the time required for enterprises to gain access to power grids was held in Orenburg. A special training seminar was organized by the Regional Development Corporation jointly with PJSC Rosseti Volga - Orenburgenergo. It was attended by specialists from 22 network organizations from cities and regions of the Orenburg region.

As RG already wrote, the decision to launch such a course was made at a meeting of the working group, held in August at the regional Ministry of Industry and Energy. During the discussion of one of the most pressing business problems, issues were raised concerning the reduction of the time required for the procedures for connecting to power grids, as well as improving the level of training of employees of grid organizations.

- Since the beginning of the year, we have been actively working with power engineers to reduce connection times. There are already the first results, - says Ignat Petukhov, General Director of the Orenburg Region Development Corporation. - Firstly, the connection becomes more efficient. Secondly, we are working to improve the competencies of specialists in network organizations.

The recently held online seminar was an important step in this direction. The Zoom-conference on the topic “Raising the level of training of specialists performing technological connection to power grids” was held under the slogan “Availability of connection: in the shortest possible time, with minimal costs, reliably and efficiently”. In welcoming the participants of the seminar, Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy of the Orenburg Region Dmitry Kulakov and Project Manager of the National Rating of the Regional Development Corporation Alexei Alabugin emphasized that simplifying the access of enterprises to power grids is important for increasing the investment attractiveness of the region and developing the business environment.

A special presentation, in which the entire chain for connecting to electricity is shown in the most accessible way, was developed by the project partners - Orenburgenergo specialists. It will serve as a convenient visual material for all workshop participants.

It should be reminded that following the results of the past year, the Orenburg region took 44th place in the national rating of investment attractiveness. In the near future, the region plans to radically improve its position: an ambitious task has been set to enter the top 20 most comfortable regions for business in the country. To achieve this goal, a Roadmap has been developed that includes 152 activities.

Business representatives themselves can assess the effectiveness of these measures: a special call center has been launched in the region for feedback from entrepreneurs. For example, recently experts conducted an independent survey concerning another acute problem - the quality and availability of labor resources. As a result, 27 percent of respondents commented positively on the market environment and highlighted long-term cooperation with regional and local employment services; 40 percent considered the current conditions to be satisfactory, but spoke about the lack of "narrow" specialists in a number of specialties; 5 percent of survey participants spoke negatively about the labor market in the region and another 28 percent found it difficult to answer.
