A special economic zone (SEZ) of industrial and production type will appear in the near future in the Orenburg region. The corresponding decree was signed by the governor of the region Denis Pasler.

Recall that for the first time the leader of the region announced plans to create a SEZ at the international economic forum "Orenburg Region - the Heart of Eurasia" held in November. The authorities did not delay the implementation of the project. The governor's decree published a few days ago contains a roadmap - in accordance with it, by July 30, a working group from among representatives of relevant ministries will have to prepare an application to receive funding for the project from the federal budget.

The SEZ will be located on the territory of the Orenburg region. Over the next four months, it is necessary to complete the work on the formation of a list of sites that will be included in the zone, and to carry out procedures for land surveying, purchase and transfer of land from the agricultural to industrial category.

- The special economic zone will become a powerful impetus in the revival of the labor glory of the Orenburg region, - said Ignat Petukhov, a member of the project working group - general director of the Orenburg Region Development Corporation. - Today, there are 25 SEZs in the country, where 30 thousand new jobs have been created at modern enterprises. All this helps shape the country's industrial future. The primary task facing the development corporation today is to attract serious companies to the region so that it would be profitable for them to work with us and create new jobs. Moreover, it should be beneficial not only for business, but also for people - residents of our region. We believe that the creation of a zone with a special economic regime will help the Orenburg region become as attractive as possible for investors.
