The implementation of the pilot project "Lean College" continues in the Orenburg region

Regional Competence Center (hereinafter referred to as RCC) The Orenburg Region continues to implement the "roadmap" for the introduction of lean manufacturing principles in the Humanitarian Technical College for 2022-2023. The activities are implemented within the framework of the national project "Labor Productivity".

As part of the implementation of the roadmap, a number of trainings on the basics of lean manufacturing have already been conducted for teachers and staff of the technical school. Employees and students were trained in Factories of office and production processes.

After that, the knowledge gained was applied to optimize the real process of "Reducing the time for issuing certificates to college students".

Since the beginning of 2023, the discipline "Fundamentals of Lean Manufacturing" has been included in the educational program. This course will give students knowledge on the application of tools, methods of lean management and production. For practical consolidation of theoretical material, the opening of the educational and production site "Factory of Production Processes" on the basis of the Humanitarian and Technical College is planned for the end of March.

At the moment, all the theoretical material for the functioning of the "Factory of production processes" is already ready. The training will be based on the example of the "button post assembly" process. Participants will be asked to collect a certain number of items in a limited time. During the task, participants will come to understand that the "traditional" approach does not allow them to achieve the necessary productivity. And thanks to the introduction of lean production tools, participants will have to achieve their goals. Process Factory training will allow students to consolidate all the theoretical material.

The implementation of the pilot project in the Humanitarian and Technical College will ensure its further replication in educational institutions of the Orenburg region, taking into account their specifics.
