As of January 1, 2020, in all categories of farms in the Orenburg region, the number of goats was 44.7 thousand, including in agricultural organizations - 6.4 thousand, peasant (farmer) and individual entrepreneurs' farms - 9.5 thousand, households - 28, 8 thousand.
Thanks to regional grants, there is an increase in the number of livestock in the peasant (farm) households of the region.
Last year, a grant for the development of goat breeding was received by Irina Sapinova, a farmer from the Gaysky urban district. For 3 million rubles, she bought 120 goats, today the farm has 250 heads. This year, farmer Fanil Ablyazov received a regional grant for the development of goat breeding. He spent 15 million rubles on increasing the number of goats and developing a unique selection. Now the businessman is preparing to build a new farm in the village of Mayachny, Kuvandyk urban district. At the initial stage, the broodstock will be approximately 1000 goats.
Also, in order to support goat breeding in the field of agricultural producers, a subsidy is provided for the maintenance of the broodstock of goats and young animals older than a year. In 2020, the amount of the subsidy is 1,460 rubles per head.
