06.04.2020 News

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the government of the Orenburg region will launch joint projects to improve the quality of life and the investment climate in the region. This is stated in the cooperation agreement, which was signed in Moscow by the head of the ASI Svetlana Chupsheva and the governor of the Orenburg region, Denis Pasler.

As noted in the document, we are talking about the promotion of socially significant projects of small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, the parties will join forces to help entrepreneurs in the fight against administrative barriers. ASI experts will help in the development of new mechanisms for the development of the social sphere - in particular, to eliminate queues for kindergartens, to train personnel for SMEs, including under WorldSkills programs, as well as to create a system for an independent assessment of the quality of the work of social organizations in the region.

- The Orenburg region faces a serious task to develop its investment potential. The "road map" on the investment climate has been adopted, - explained Denis Pasler. - We will benefit from organizational and expert support.

Already this year, the region plans to create a modern investment portal that will help in finding sites for business placement and the selection of state support tools. Among the priority areas of joint work are shortening the time for the provision of public services and reducing administrative pressure on business, examination of decisions of state bodies and the consolidation of the business community.

“Today our region is on the 52nd place in the rating of investment attractiveness, but we have set the task to enter the top twenty in the country,” said Ignat Petukhov, head of the Orenburg Region Development Corporation. - This is possible on condition of the joint well-coordinated work of the authorities, public institutions and business. As part of the roadmap, we have developed more than 150 measures that should provide a solution to existing problems, namely, to reduce administrative barriers, speed up the timing of connecting facilities to the power grid and obtaining construction permits. We want it to take no more than 60 days, not 100 as it is now. Support measures for small and medium-sized businesses should be as effective as possible. The experience and knowledge of federal colleagues will work for the benefit of our region.
