Governor of the Orenburg Region Denis Pasler took part in the meeting of the heads of the subjects of the Volga Federal District

The topic of the meeting was the implementation of measures in the regions of the Volga Federal District aimed at improving the business climate and supporting investment activity.

The meeting was attended by Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), Murat Kerefov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Alexey Uchenov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, heads of the regions of the Volga Federal District.

 

Igor Komarov noted the stability of the economic situation in the regions of the district, reducing the impact of negative effects caused by the imposition of sanctions. He also stressed that, in general, the situation corresponds to all—Russian trends, the district is showing growth in a number of key indicators.

 

— Of course, a big role in creating a favorable business environment belongs to regional management teams. We managed to ensure the stability of the economy, protect citizens, save jobs, prevent shortages in the market, including essential goods, support the financial system, entrepreneurs," Igor Komarov said.

 

— In Orenburg region, despite external pressure, it was possible to maintain the stability of the economy and achieve growth in a number of key areas. In 2022, the volume of shipped products of industrial enterprises increased by 6.3% and amounted to 1.4 trillion rubles. Investments in fixed assets amounted to 234.7 billion rubles, an increase of 4.6% compared to last year in comparable prices. Foreign trade turnover increased by 9.7%, including exports – by 7.5%. In agriculture, the increase in production in all categories is 36.9%. More than 4 million tons of grain have been harvested. The large-scale anti-crisis measures that we have taken together with the Government of the Russian Federation have also affected the labor market. The unemployment rate is lower to covid (0.88%), the number of registered unemployed decreased by 3.2 thousand people over the year," commented Denis Pasler.

 

During the meeting, it was noted that attracting investments, creating a comfortable business climate and supporting business are among the key tools for the development of regions.

 

A well-developed business support infrastructure has been created in the Orenburg Region. There is a Guarantee Fund, a Fund to support small and medium-sized businesses, an Industry Development Fund, an Export Support Center and the My Business Center.

In 2022, the total amount of support was increased to 3.2 billion rubles.

 

Last year, three Orenburg enterprises were included in the federal consolidated list of new investment projects with a total investment volume of more than 12 billion rubles. This is LLC "Krasnogorsky Dairy Plant" with a dairy plant project,

LLC "DC "Orenburg" with a project of a universal warehouse of food and non-food products and

Silk Road Logistics LLC with a project of a transport and logistics terminal.

 

Over the past three years, Orenburg region has managed to restart a number of bankrupt enterprises. Including in the manufacturing sector, which, along with mining, forms the regional gross domestic product. More than 20 import-saving projects totaling 13.5 billion rubles are being implemented in the region.

 

Orenburg region is also one of the pilot regions for the implementation of the Regional Investment Standard. All its elements are fully implemented on the territory of the region.
